Brady has a habit that he has been perfecting for a few weeks now...he wanders out of bed several times after we have already tucked him in for the night. He will just SHOW UP wherever you are...in the office, in the shower, etc. He ALWAYS wants something of course -- like more to drink, forgot to grab a bedtime toy, or needs to be re-tucked in. The latest excuse is that he has to go potty (and we can't deny him that right since we are in full-blown potty-training mode).
Last night, as we were tucking him in, we reminded him that he needed to stay in bed and not get up again. He quickly responded "If I need something, I will yell for Mommy but she won't hear me because she is in the shower. Then I will yell for Daddy, but ...(he may not hear me either)." Sure enough, Chris walks into the living room and there stands Brady. "I yelled for Mommy and she didn't come, then I yelled for Daddy, and that didn't work."
Tonight, it became a game. He got about at least 10 times or more...always with a big cheese on his face. He has figured out that if he smiles while committing the crime, he can usually get some forgiveness. One time, he got up to make sure that I had everything I needed for the shower. Then he proceeded to ask daddy if he had picked out his clothes for the next day.
GET IN BED BRADY!

The exact same thing goes on at our house! On top of the wandering out of bed, we have talking & giggling, too, since the kids are in the same room. I feel your frustration!
